A regular meeting of the Design and Construction Board of Review was held at 5:00 PM in Council Chambers of Rocky River City Hall with the following members present:

                                                Present:  John Walsh, Brilliant Electric Sign Co.

 

·        Formerly Hollywood Video space

·        White Face LED flush mounted letters

·        Corporate standard sign.  Paw print is also corporate standard

·        Smaller in square footage than previous Hollywood Video sign

·        Sign to be centered vertically and horizontally

·        Fastening detail submitted

·        Sign approved by landlord

 

Mrs. Brandt made a motion to approve the wall signs as submitted.  Mr. Selby seconded.

Approved

 

This application is approved for design and review concept.  Upon checking with the Building Department for all Zoning and Building Code requirements, a permit may be issued.

 

2.   JEAN STELL                                                                               

      20193 Beachcliff Blvd.

      Elevator Addition

 

                                    Present:  Peter Paino, Architect

 

·        Elevator shaft to be constructed on exterior of home

·        All materials to match existing

·        Equipment to be housed in upper area

·        Elevator addition will not be able to be seen from Beachcliff Blvd.

·        Windows in shaft purely for aesthetic purposes

·        Board commented that addition is well detailed and located in an inconspicuous place on property

 

Mr. Selby made a motion to approve the elevator addition as presented.  Mrs. Brandt seconded.

Approved

 

This application is approved for design and review concept.  Upon checking with the Building Department for all Zoning and Building Code requirements, a permit may be issued.

 

 

3.   MARK AULISIO                                                                         

      19970 Roslyn Dr.

      Dormer Additions

 

                                                Present:  Joseph Ferut, Architect

                                                               Mark Aulisio, Homeowner

 

·        Adding dormer on third floor to expand bedroom.  Also adding new bathroom and new screen porch

·        4:12 roof pitch on new dormer.

·        Homeowner to Re-use slate shingles on portion of roof

·        Aluminum clad windows

·        Discussed use of shake vs. Hardie Board on dormer

·        Bathroom addition to be shake and siding              

 

                  *  Submit schematic alternate with final submission to Building Dept. prior to construction.               

 

  Mrs. Brandt made a motion to approve the dormer additions as noted*.  Mr. Selby seconded.

Subject to the above requirements, this application is approved for design and review concept.  Upon checking with the Building Department for all Zoning and Building Code requirements, a permit may be issued.
