Auxiliary Police Officer applications being accepted

The Rocky River Police Department is now accepting applications for Auxiliary Police Officers.

The program is a volunteer position and applicants must be 21 years of age at the time of appointment.  A minimum of 10 hours of service per month is required.

Uniformed Auxiliary Police Officers assist with traffic control and perform a variety of duties during special events. The Auxiliary Officers meet once a month, usually on a Monday in the early evening, for a training session.  Auxiliary Officers also ride with on-duty Police Officers, and provide assistance during their routine patrol.
