Rocky River’s Department of Economic and Community Development is headed by Kory Koran, Director of Economic and Community Development.  The Director has a degree in Urban Planning and Design from the University of Cincinnati’s College of Design, Architecture and Art.  Mr. Koran is also an alumni of Harvard’s John F. Kennedy School of Government, a Certified Economic Development Finance Professional and past president of the Ohio Conference of Community Development Officials.

            The Department oversees all Planning, Community Development and Economic Development functions of the City.  Grant preparation and administration, liaison to the Rocky River Chamber of Commerce and ombudsman to all businesses in the City are just a few of the responsibilities of the Department.

            The City of Rocky River’s residents are now eligible for low interest loans to renovate residential structures over 50 years old.  If you are interested in the Heritage Home Loan Program, please call the Director.

            Businesses looking to locate in Rocky River should contact the Department for information on available sites, including vacant land and buildings.  Existing businesses with any questions or concerns about doing business in the City should communicate with the Director for assistance.
