Flushing and servicing of fire hydrants

The Rocky River Fire Department will begin flushing and servicing fire hydrants starting in May. The hydrant flushing will be done Monday thru Thursday and will continue through out the summer months. While this is taking place on your street you may find rusty water in your water lines. Simply let your faucet run until the water is clear. If you are doing laundry when the water becomes discolored, the Rocky River Fire Department has packets of rust remover you can pick up at the station.
