Current Initiatives

  • Refurbishing the Stone Wing Walls at Detroit/Erie: We want to improve the stone walls and landscaping beds at this corner. Last spring we removed the ivy and weeds, tilled, and planted a few annuals. We now have cleaning and tuck pointing plan! Click here for more information.
  • Bright Spots: Through this summer program, we recognize a few residents who are making Rocky River a beautiful place to live, work and relax. Nominations are open through June 11th! Click here for more information about the program and how to nominate! Information about past recipients is below.
  • Fifth Annual Light Up River: Join us on December 20, 2015 when we light up the night! Streets throughout Rocky River will be twinkling with thousands of luminarias. Watch for an E-Update in November with more information.
  • Resident Initiatives: Residents and neighborhood groups are the keys to some of our projects. In 2011 neighbors around the traffic triangles at the intersection of Beach Cliff Blvd., Morewood Pkwy., and Northcliff Dr. initiated a joint plan with the City to improve this highly visible site near one of our premier parks. Residents on Thomson Circle are following suit this summer!
  • Street Trees (2005-present): Have you seen the new trees along East & West Surrey Ct., High Pkwy., Sunnyhill Dr., and Frazier Dr.? They were part of the 2015 street trees planting program, one of the Committee's most successful on-going programs.
