Paving update: street construction will continue (the week of November 16th) on Rockland and, if weather allows, asphalt on Riverview and Rockland will be installed next week. The paving on Carol and Westover will be completed early next week as weather permits. A section of road work on Stratford near Elmwood will also be completed early next week as weather permits.
Sewer construction update: Morewood Parkway’s new sewer force main is nearing completion. The week of November 16th will include repairs to the road and tree lawns and concrete areas disturbed by construction. Work will progress as weather allows.
The Avalon Drive sewer improvement project continues west of Elmwood. Westbound traffic only is permitted on Avalon from Elmwood - west to Lake Road; please expect delays for travel on Avalon as construction continues. This work will continue along Avalon Drive during the winter and continuing throughout most of 2016.
The Storm Water Innovation Project construction which includes the parking lot at Rocky River Park is nearing completion. There are a few items of work to complete during the week of November 16th. Visitors to the park are welcome; however, the parking lot will not be opened during the week of November 16th.
Please be aware that crack and joint sealing equipment will be working on several side streets beginning SATURDAY, November 14th. Traffic delays may be caused by this equipment working on the following streets: River Oaks, Carmen, Cottonwood, Frazier (Buckingham to Beachcliff), Roslyn (Argyle to Frazier), Elmwood (Erie to the railroad tracks), Linda St., Smith Court, Allen Court, Hampton (Purnell to north of Riverview), Malvern, Colahan and parts of the Valley View / East Shoreland neighborhood. This work will protect and sustain our streets; thank you for being patient as this equipment will be working in the City throughout the week of November 16th and into the week of November 23rd as necessary.
