The City’s process to convert to RITA from CCA for municipal income tax administration continues. During this conversion month of January 2016, both CCA and RITA are processing transactions for residents. The CCA transaction volume is winding down while the RITA activity is ramping up. Access to the RITA electronic filing services is not yet available. The delay was expected and as other steps in the conversion process are completed, electronic filing and payment services will come online in early February.
Now that the conversion date of January 1, 2016 has passed, all transactions should be made to RITA. Estimated payments for 2015 and 2016 may be made to RITA. A RITA account number has been established for all taxpayers and was displayed on the December 7, 2015 letter to you. Businesses should file the 2015 Form W-2 Reconciliation with RITA.
Also, only one income tax return should be filed for 2015; it should be prepared on a RITA tax form. Forms are available from the RITA web site, Rocky River City Hall and the Rocky River Public Library.
The RITA web site is www.ritaohio.com and the phone number is (800) 860-7482.
- the income tax rate of 2.00% that became effective January 1, 2015 will not change with the City’s conversion from CCA to RITA and;
- the filing deadline is April 18, 2016.
