Rocky River Seniors Council is a non-profit, organization of volunteers, ages 60 and over, who serve in an advisory capacity to Rocky River Senior Center. Incorporated in 1976, the Council came about through the efforts of the Rocky River Action Committee for Senior Citizens, under the leadership of Elmer J. Lowrey.

Mission Statement:
The mission of Rocky River Seniors Council is to offer advice, counsel, and assistance to the staff of Rocky River Senior Center in providing for the well being of Rocky River Seniors.
Seniors Council meetings are held monthly (except July, August and December) at Rocky River Senior Center and are open to the public. Council membership consists of eleven members. The mayor, City Council members, and the Director and Manager of the Senior Center are ex-officio members of Seniors Council.
