Civic Center
The Civic Center Hours of Operation are generally seasonal with expanded hours in the winter months. The Aquatic Center closes 30 minutes prior to the facility to ensure our guests have plenty of time to utilize the locker rooms,
The Don Umerley Civic Center is home to the Rocky River Recreation Center. The facility boasts a three lap walking & jogging track, two basketball courts, three group fitness studios, a full fitness center, the Kids Cove, meeting rooms and an indoor aquatic facility.
The Civic Center was constructed in two phases, opening in 2001 with the addition being completed in 2007; the facility is open to residents and non-residents offering discounted programming for members. Programming opportunities include Aquatics & Safety, Community Events, Fitness & Wellness, Sports & Leagues as well as Youth Specific Programming. The Civic Center is proud to continue to work with members of all ages and abilities while collaborating with vendors like Silver Sneakers and Renew Active.
Members and guests enjoy a plethora of amenities as part of their access to the facility, including: access to the entire facility, usage of a variety of cardio and strength training equipment, day-use locker room facilities and showers and much more!
The Fitness Center offers a variety of cardio and strength training equipment that is sure to have something for everybody!
With more than 220,000 gallons of water, the natatorium is sure keep you cool during a water fitness class, leisurely stroll in the lazy river or while getting your laps in! The 2,500 gallon spa is a great spot to recover from a strenuous workout or just relax after a long day.
The pirate themed, zero entry splash area is sure to keep our youngest swimmers having a blast while sliding down the pirate slide or spraying the cannons on the ship.
