CITY OF ROCKY RIVER
Please watch for the work zone to change on Wooster the week of May 20th. Crews will be shifting the barrels so that work can begin in the center lane of Wooster – traffic patterns will change.
Wooster Road has an intermediate layer of pavement installed to protect the sub-street as the contractor makes repairs to the road in various areas. Road repairs will be completed in one lane of traffic at a time. The road repairs in the southbound lane are concluding and the contractor is preparing to move into the center lane and then to the northbound lane. Improvements will include replacement of most crossing ramps for sidewalks at intersections. Once all repair / concrete work is complete, the final layer of asphalt will be applied with street markings to follow. The paving schedule depends on weather conditions and is anticipated to continue through the summer.
PLEASE use caution on Wooster Road during repair work which require lane restrictions and construction work in and near intersections (especially the intersection at Hilliard Boulevard). Thank you for your kind patience and careful attention while driving on Wooster Road.
ERIEWOOD WATER LINE
The water main installation is nearing total completion. Thank you for your cooperation during this improvement.
The City of Rocky River with the cooperation of Cuyahoga County will pave Hilliard Boulevard (a county route) from Lakeview to River Oaks during the summer of 2019. Work is anticipated to begin in mid-summer and will continue through this fall and then resume in 2020 to complete paving from River Oaks to the Westlake corporation line.
City streets to be paved in late summer of 2019 are: Dale, Beachcliff (Frazier to Wooster), Sunnyhill, Riverwood, Laurel, Purnell, Chatham and Harwich. Street repairs will be made on Kingsbury, Addington and Kingsmill Run.
** New street markings will be applied to Hilliard at the I-90 entrance /exit ramps as weather permits and later this summer Detroit Road’s street markings will be re-painted. As always, thank you for being careful around and aware of our contractors working in our roadways!
WATER LINE WORK - PREVIEW
This summer, water main replacement work will begin on Struhar and Shoreland. The Cleveland Division of Water will fund these projects; however, the City will bid the work and assign a contractor. The City of Rocky River will also inspect and manage the project.
Images of construction progression will be posted on the City’s twitter account: @CityofRockyRiv1
