You, your family, and friends are invited to our "River Days" celebration this weekend, July 14 - 15, 2018, at the City Hall Campus.
There's something for everyone. Rocky River community groups, merchants and the city have come together with exciting events for all ages. Please take a look at the schedule of events on the www.rrcity.com website and join us for all or part of the weekend. River Days is all about Creating and Celebrating memories. It is our hope that this year's events will draw residents - their families, neighbors - to enjoy all the fun-filled weekend has to offer.
Saturday begins with the Bike Party and Bike Parade starting at Magnificat High School and processing across Wagar Road to City Hall just in time for lively and entertaining events. Outside, families will enjoy food, games, inflatables and entertainment featuring Jungle Bob. Come check out a new community initiative, Rocky River Rocks, which will host a tent for rock painting. Stop by that tent to learn more about the project, and grab a brush and let your inner artist shine. And as in past years, the Chamber of Commerce is hosting Taste of River/Buy River which will fill the Civic Center.
On Sunday celebrate the rich history of Rocky River with the Antique Appraisal Fair hosted by The Rocky River Public Library. Lolly the Trolley Tours will be conducted by the Rocky River Historical Society. The wonderfully successful Memory Lane Antique Car Show will bring visitors to the other side of the City Hall Campus for a walk down memory lane. We will end the day at Rocky River Park with Pie in the Park and a summer concert featuring Rocky River's own Revolution Pie - a Beatle's tribute band.
Whether you love the silly games, live entertainment, Touch-a-Truck, or just visiting with friends and enjoying the culinary offerings of our local restaurants - River Days truly offers something for everyone!
River Days would never happen or be as successful if it were not for the generosity of so many in our community. We extend special thanks to our generous sponsors, energetic volunteers, and engaged civic organizations.
Wishing you a special weekend filled with making memories that will be enjoyed for years to come,
Mayor Pam Bobst
