Memorial Hall is located in the northeast wing of the Don Umerley Civic Center and is managed and supervised by the Office of Public Buildings.

With three rooms of varying sizes available - Memorial Hall, The Community Room, and The Club Room- Memorial Hall can handle the smallest staff meeting or the largest family affair. All three rooms are accessible at ground level with no stairs or ramps and ample free parking is available.

Located in the main lobby, the Veterans Memorial area features a place for reflection on those who have given the ultimate sacrifice serving our Nation. The Mural, painted by Glen Shaw, was donated to the City of Rocky River by the Rocky River War Memorial Association in 1954.

MEMORIAL HALL

The largest room, Memorial Hall, is 47’ x 78’ and boasts a wonderful wood parquet floor ideal for dance groups and events needing a dance floor. Memorial Hall will accommodate around 200 seated at round tables with a nice sized dance area. Large Windows and high ceilings provide a grand feeling to this space.

COMMUNITY ROOM

The Community Room is our mid-sized room, measuring 47’ x 47’. Slightly lower ceilings and a carpeted floor in this room has a more intimate feel making it ideal for smaller events. Large windows provide lots of natural light throughout the day. The Community Room is perfect for engagements such as showers, birthday parties, luncheons, and meetings. This room will comfortably seat around 90 at round tables.

CLUB ROOM

The Club Room is 18’ x 28’ and is ideal for a small business meeting or club meeting. The room features a wall mounted monitor that easily connects to an HDMI device. The Club Room is located next to Memorial Hall and has both a hallway entrance and a Memorial Hall entrance. The room has a small sink which makes for a perfect location to have a bar service when the room is opened to Memorial Hall.

Amenities & Additional Services

There is a large Prep Kitchen shared by all the rooms. The kitchen is accessed from both the Memorial Hall and the Community Room. The kitchen has ovens, refrigerators, a freezer and a large ice machine. An additional charge for use of the kitchen applies. An additional charge for the use of the kitchen applies.
There is a large coat room shared by all the rooms located off the main hallway. This is available for all events. Large restrooms are located just past the coat room and are easily accessible to all the event spaces
Sound system, projector, cart, screen and WIFI provided at no extra cost.
The entire venue may be rented out for large weddings, fundraisers, conferences or craft shows.
Minimum 3 hour reservation for all rooms.
